Context

Avignon’s fiscal church funded humanists. Shared with Cardinal Giovanni Colonna. Corruption here is the fusion of spiritual revenues with a courtier’s purse, plus the later gap between invective and receipt. It is not a modern criminal judgment.

Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.

Why it matters

Paid livings from a court he would call Babylon are a corruption path of high confidence on the income and medium on motive. Weight is moderate. Mixed: the money also bought books.

Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Lombez income is not the Babylon letter-book. Mixed effects of Petrarch takes Avignon-orbit benefices, beginning with the canonry of Lombez are separate paths.
