In 1944 Hollywood conservatives formed the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals. Walt Disney was among the prominent studio names associated with that anti-Communist cultural politics. He did not write every Alliance statement. HUAC 1947 is the later sworn sequel, not this founding year. Context
The Alliance sat between the strike’s bitterness and the 1947 hearings. Polarisation is the path: a children’s producer as a Cold War faction mark. John Wayne and others are neighbouring names, not extra Disney Facts.
Why it matters
Pre-HUAC factional organisation is a polarisation path. Medium-high confidence on alignment; the Alliance was bigger than one man. Later culture-war branding of ‘Disney’ is not 1944.

What the sources establish
Truman Library’s HUAC education page independently frames the Hollywood anti-Communist wave. Biography.com and studio political histories place Disney in that Alliance neighbourhood. D23 is not the independent record of the faction. No unique dues ledger is cited.
Established as received: Disney among Alliance-aligned studio heads, 1944. Not established: that he drafted the manifesto. Conventional February 1944 neighbourhood for founding. Not 24 October 1947.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Mixed effects of Disney supports the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals, an anti-Communist studio-political vehicle are separate paths.
Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.
The contribution type is direct. That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
Shared responsibility is part of Disney supports the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals, an anti-Communist studio-political vehicle. Naming Walt Disney does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1944-02-01 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.
