Kinga Gál has sat in the European Parliament for Fidesz since 2004, a twenty-year insider who now helps lead the far right. Re-elected a Fidesz vice-president in November 2023 (Telex), she was named first vice-president of the Patriots for Europe group on 8 July 2024, the alliance Orbán built with Marine Le Pen's camp (Politico). Her parliament record shows the move (European Parliament). Bottom line: a long-serving MEP who became the Brussels face of Orbán's alliance with the nationalist right.
Kyrsten Sinema, a senator from Arizona from 2019 to 2025, joined Joe Manchin and every Republican in January 2022 to block a filibuster change that would have passed voting-rights legislation (Wikipedia). Arizona Democrats censured her (NPR). In December 2022 she left the party to become an independent while keeping her committee seats through the Democratic majority, and in March 2024 she declined to seek re-election. Bottom line: a senator who sank her party's agenda and then walked away.
Lajos Kósa, Fidesz parliamentary leader from September 2015 (Index) and minister without portfolio for the Modern Cities Programme from October 2017 (24.hu), embarrassed himself in March 2018. He was reported to have been entrusted by a Csenger woman, who claimed a multi-billion-euro German inheritance, with buying government bonds, a story HVG called an impossible lie (HVG). Prosecutors later treated him only as a witness while the woman faced fraud charges (24.hu). Bottom line: a senior minister who was either duped or complicit in an absurd inheritance scheme.
