On 25 September 2022 the centre-right coalition led by Brothers of Italy won a parliamentary majority. Giorgia Meloni’s party was the largest.

Context

Voters and the Interior Ministry produced the count. Mattarella later appointed her. A certified election is a procedural resilience event. It does not authorise treating every later decree as the certificate.

The 22 October oath is a neighbouring later civic event.

The President of the Council of Ministers of Italy heads the government. Parliament writes statutes; the President of the Republic promulgates; regions and ministries implement; courts can stay a decree. A premier can decree, sign protocols, and take an oath. She does not write a Council regulation in Brussels, an Albanian constitutional-court judgment, or a G7 communique by herself.

Why it matters

The path is democratic resilience: a completed, certified parliamentary election is a procedural event, separate from later policy instruments.

Established: a 25 September 2022 certified victory of the centre-right coalition with FdI as the largest party.

The Interior Ministry counted. The President later appointed.. A later repeal, court stay, or successor order would be a different Fact with a different date. That pair identifies Centre-right coalition wins the 2022 Italian general election, not a later speech about Centre-right coalition wins the 2022 Italian general election.

Co-authors and later implementers named in Context remain on the file. If a later repeal, stay, or successor decree exists, it needs its own date and its own row. The contribution described on this Person row is limited to She was the winning coalition leader. The Interior Ministry counted. The President later appointed. That limit is the alternative to treating office-holding as authorship of every later series. The Chamber, the Senate, the Quirinale, the League, Forza Italia, prefects, and foreign counterparties share specific files. Allegation is not a completed judgment. An Albanian court stay is not a criminal conviction. A decree-law is not a unique CPI coefficient. A G7 chairmanship is not a delivered emissions path.
