US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) is the federal prosecutor's office responsible for the Southern District of New York, which covers Manhattan, the Bronx, and several surrounding counties. As one of the 94 U.S. Attorney's Offices within the Department of Justice, it represents the federal government in criminal prosecutions and civil litigation within its jurisdiction. Because its district includes major financial and corporate centers, the office has a prominent caseload involving securities, financial, and public-corruption matters, alongside organized crime, terrorism, and narcotics cases.
