Amarna reliefs and altars show Nefertiti with named daughters (Meritaten and others) in Aten cult. Conventional mid-Amarna dating.

Context

Egyptian art often omits children. Amarna floods the walls with them. That is a stylistic-political choice of the court she belonged to.

Nefertiti is not the sole author of every later object, law, or museum label that uses the name. Shared work with courts, excavators, printers, spouses, officials, and later states does not erase a documented role, and it does not make an ancient person the signer of a twentieth-century statute.

Why it matters

Improving visibility of named female children in royal religion, medium confidence, not a welfare series for girls in general.
