In October 1788 Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel entered the Protestant Stift at Tübingen, studying philosophy and theology in the same house as Friedrich Hölderlin and, from 1790, Friedrich Schelling, until the 1793 Magisters and exit. Ducal Württemberg paid seminary places; the three students read Kant, Rousseau, and Greek tragedy together. They did not yet write Phenomenology. The row stores one educational household.
Context
A Stift is a closed Protestant training shop for Württemberg clergy and teachers. Shared rooms made a generation; they did not make a republic. Marx is posthumous reception and is not listed as a personal affiliation. Kant on the table is influence, not co-enrolment. A seminary that still required Lutheran orthodoxy for some exercises is a limit on how free the course was, not a reason to drop the dated enrolment. Kant and Greek tragedy on a Stift table are study, not a later Hegelian party and not Marx as a housemate.
Why it matters
Improving education path: a shared seminary-university course. High confidence on the years. Modest weight. Later factions that used his name are other people’s instruments. Berlin restoration office is a different date. Writers/scientists: a Stift year does not move a macro education indicator by itself.

He studied theology and philosophy at the ducal Stift. The seminary housed him with Hölderlin and Schelling. Complex student, not the abbot.

What the sources establish
Tübingen University’s public history locates the Stift as its Protestant seminary. SEP’s Hegel entry independently dates the 1788–1793 Tübingen years with Hölderlin and Schelling. Official: https://uni-tuebingen.de/en/ (opens in a new tab). Independent: https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hegel/ (opens in a new tab). Britannica is a finding aid. The records establish enrolment and housemates. They do not establish a unique later philosophy-enrolment series. A Stift roll without Hegel in 1788 would be the contradictory showing. A contradictory Stift roll without Hegel in 1788 would change the row.
Established: Hegel studied at the Tübingen Stift from 1788 to 1793 with Hölderlin and Schelling. Not established: that they signed a political programme, or that 1807 is this enrolment. A showing he never entered the Stift would change the row. A later Hegel congress would not.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Stift years are not the 1807 Phenomenology. Mixed effects of Hegel enters the Tübingen Stift with Hölderlin and Schelling are separate paths.
Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.
That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
Shared responsibility is part of Hegel enters the Tübingen Stift with Hölderlin and Schelling. Naming Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1788-10-27 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.
