Livelihood-recovery consumption coupons begin after a 31.8 trillion-won extra budget

On 21 July 2025 the Lee administration began distributing livelihood-recovery consumption coupons after the National Assembly passed, and the Cabinet approved, a 31.8 trillion-won supplementary budget. Base payments started at 150,000 won per person, with higher amounts for lower-income and some non-metropolitan residents, usable at local shops.

Context
