What the sources establish
Human Rights Watch recorded that security forces killed him during an attack on the party headquarters in N’Djamena and called for an independent investigation. Reuters later published forensic reviews of a photograph that five experts said was compatible with a contact wound, contesting the exchange-of-fire account.
Al Jazeera carries the official instrument or communique. Human Rights Watch records the same dated act independently.
Established: The prosecutor announced on 28–29 February 2024 that Dillo was killed during the security-force operation. HRW recorded the killing at party headquarters.
Not established: A unique extra-judicial-execution conviction, a unique Dillo-day death integer, or that Dillo is a minted Person row.
Sharing a prosecutor statement is not a reason to drop 28 February 2024.. A later repeal, court stay, or successor order would be a different Fact with a different date. That pair identifies Prosecutor announces Yaya Dillo killed during a security-force operation, not a later speech about Prosecutor announces Yaya Dillo killed during a security-force operation.
Co-authors and later implementers named in Context remain on the file. If a later repeal, stay, or successor instrument exists, it needs its own date and its own row. The contribution described on this Person row is limited to He was transitional president and commander when the operation occurred. That limit is the alternative to treating office-holding as authorship of every later series.
