On 14 December 2023 the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Act 2023 received Royal Assent. Part 6 gives the Fair Work Commission power to make regulated labour-hire arrangement orders so labour-hire workers are paid no less than the host’s instrument — Labor’s same-job-same-pay policy. Wage-theft offences and industrial manslaughter also sat in the first tranche. Later FWC orders are children.
