Venice extradites Bruno to the Roman Inquisition
In 1593, after Venetian process and Roman demand, Bruno was transferred from Venice to the Roman Inquisition’s prisons, a forced move of a prisoner from one Holy Office to the capital of the other. It is not the 23 May 1592 arrest, not the 1599 refusal, and not the 1600 fire. In the causal graph this event strengthens Forced-Displacement Scale, a driver that strengthens People Internally Displaced by Conflict and Violence (IDMC) — a worsening welfare path.

Venice yielded; Rome received a body. The row stores displacement of a defendant. He did not book the coach. A process can have an arrest night and a later transfer without those being cosmetic twins: different cities, different authorities, a year apart.
Context
Venetian pride sometimes kept prisoners; this time it did not keep Bruno. Displacement here is extra-territorial surrender into a harder prison. Bellarmine’s Roman labour is still in the future of this file. A prisoner moved against his will is still a displacement even inside one church’s two courts. 23 May 1592 remains the arrest night; 1599 remains the refusal; 1600 remains the fire; Bellarmine’s Roman labour is still ahead of this coach.
If a number is not in the two records named above, it is not supplied here.
Why it matters
Worsening displacement path: prisoner extradited to Rome. High confidence on 1593. Modest-to-medium weight. Arrest remains 1592 justice. Execution remains 1600 humanitarian harm. He is not the nuncio.
Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.

What the sources establish
Venice State Archive is the city that surrendered him. SEP independently dates the 1593 transfer from Venetian to Roman custody. Official: https://www.archiviodistatovenezia.beniculturali.it/ (opens in a new tab). Independent: https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/bruno/ (opens in a new tab). Britannica corroborates. The records establish the transfer. They do not establish a unique later extradition series. Venice-until-death would change the row; 1592 is not this coach; 1600 is not this extradition. A showing he remained in Venice until death would change the row.
Established: in 1593 Bruno was transferred from Venetian to Roman Inquisition custody. Not established: that 1592 is this coach, or that 1600 is this transfer. A Venice-until-death showing would change the row.
That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. 1593 transfer is not 23 May 1592 and not 17 February 1600. Mixed effects of Venice extradites Bruno to the Roman Inquisition are separate paths.
Shared responsibility is part of Venice extradites Bruno to the Roman Inquisition. Naming Giordano Bruno does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1593-01-01 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.
