In 1833 Chopin’s Twelve Études, Op. 10, appeared in Paris (Schlesinger) and in German issue, dedicated in the French edition to Franz Liszt, as a published school of piano difficulty. 25 set, which is a different opus. Several studies had been drafted in Warsaw and Vienna; print is the public act stored here. Chopin wrote the notes; plate-engravers made the saleable object. The row does not split Op. 10 No. 12 from the set as a separate ‘revolutionary’ Fact.
10 (1833-06-01).
Context
An étude in 1833 could be a mechanical drill or a concert piece. Chopin’s set made the drill itself the public music, which is why pupils bought it and why Liszt’s name on the title page mattered as a professional signal. Warsaw memories inside No. Kalkbrenner’s method books are the competing school in the same market. A set that makes the drill itself concert music is education because pupils can buy the difficulty and copy it at home; Warsaw memories inside one study stay in the notes without becoming a second opus.
Why it matters
Improving education path: a copyable set of concert-studies changed what a paying pianist could practice at home. High confidence on 1833 publication. Modest-to-medium weight because the set became a teaching staple, still not a statute. Exile politics inside one study stay in the notes; they do not turn the whole opus into a barricade order.

He composed the twelve studies and saw them through the press. Publishers engraved them. Complex author, not a conservatory statute-maker.

What the sources establish
The Institute’s works pages date Op. 10 and identify the 1833 issues. The Cambridge Companion independently discusses the études as a published technical-and-poetic school. Official: https://chopin.nifc.pl/en/chopin/dziela (opens in a new tab). Independent: https://doi.org/10.1017/ccol9780521404907 (opens in a new tab). The records establish opus, year, and dedication practice. They do not establish a unique later conservatory-enrolment series caused by Op. 10.
Established: Op. 10 was published in 1833 as Chopin’s twelve études. Not established: a unique modern practice-hour coefficient, or that Op. A contradictory 1833 title page without Chopin’s name would change the row. A later competition list would not.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. 10 into twelve twin Facts or isolate No. 12 as a second act. Mixed effects of Schlesinger and German partners publish Chopin’s Études Op. 10 are separate paths.

That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
Shared responsibility is part of Schlesinger and German partners publish Chopin’s Études Op. 10. Naming Frédéric Chopin does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1833-06-01 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.
