On 17 March 1830 Chopin played his Piano Concerto in F minor (later Op. 21) in a public Warsaw concert, with orchestral accompaniment, before the autumn departure. He had written the F minor concerto before the E minor; numbering in later collected editions is not this playbill. Elsner’s school had already ended. The row stores one Warsaw concerto night. It does not split the work into movement-by-movement twins, and it does not treat a later International Chopin Competition concerto round as this 1830 public.
Context
Warsaw still had a National Theatre public in 1830, months before the November night. A concerto was a civic lesson in listening: slow movement, dance finale, and a local soloist who was not yet a Paris brand. Friends such as Tytus Woyciechowski sat in the network around the concert; they did not write the solo part. Russian officialdom still governed the city, which is background, not a claim that the concerto was a coded uprising order. Later German and French first editions of Op. 21 are publication facts, not this night. A National Theatre public hearing a new concerto from its composer is civic musical schooling; it is not a coded order for the November cadets and not a later competition round.
That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
Why it matters
Improving education path: a new concerto was taught to a live Warsaw public by its composer. High confidence on the date and the work. Modest weight: one night is not a conservatory statute. Later recordings and competition rules are reception.
Shared responsibility is part of Chopin premieres the F minor piano concerto in a Warsaw public concert. Naming Frédéric Chopin does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1830-03-17 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.

What the sources establish
The Institute’s works and life calendar pages date the 17 March 1830 concert and identify the F minor concerto as the work heard. Oxford Music Online / Grove independently treats the Warsaw concertos as public 1830 events before the exile. Official: https://chopin.nifc.pl/en/chopin/dziela (opens in a new tab). Independent: https://www.oxfordmusiconline.com/ (opens in a new tab). Different publishers. The records establish date, work, and city. They do not establish a unique later Polish orchestral-attendance series.
Established: on 17 March 1830 Chopin publicly performed the F minor concerto in Warsaw. Not established: that the night caused the November Uprising, or that every later Op. 21 performance is this premiere. A contradictory 1830 playbill naming only the E minor work on this date would force a correction. A 1927 competition syllabus would not.
If a number is not in the two records named above, it is not supplied here.
Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Mixed effects of Chopin premieres the F minor piano concerto in a Warsaw public concert are separate paths.
