In December 1871 the new Empire adopted a gold-based mark as the common coin, replacing the mixed thaler, gulden, and other German coinages. Bismarck’s government carried the law with National Liberal support. This is a currency statute, not the 1875 Reichsbank law and not a later Bundesbank museum.
Context
French indemnity gold eased the transition. Southern states bargained over mint marks. Fiscal capacity here means a unit of account the Empire could tax in.
Shared responsibility is part of The Reich gold-mark coinage law is adopted. Naming Otto von Bismarck does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1871-12-04 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.
Why it matters

What the sources establish
GHDI publishes coinage-law documents. DHM independently narrates the Kaiserreich currency reform. Britannica’s mark article independently dates the 1871–73 reform. No unique price index is invented.
Established: a Reich gold-mark coinage was adopted in 1871 under Bismarck’s government. Not established: that the law caused a unique growth spurt, or that he designed the die.
Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.
If a number is not in the two records named above, it is not supplied here.
Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Mixed effects of The Reich gold-mark coinage law is adopted are separate paths.
That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
