Oath politics after the Succession Act displace office-holders into prison and exile patterns
After the 1534 Succession oath campaign, More’s refusal placed him among office-holders displaced from liberty into the Tower. The instrument is that carceral displacement, neighbouring the oath-refusal row with a displace driver. In the causal graph this event strengthens Forced-Displacement Scale, a driver that strengthens People Internally Displaced by Conflict and Violence (IDMC) — a worsening welfare path.

Context
Prison is forced removal from household. HRP and Britannica independently narrate Tower confinement after oath refusal. Fisher and others share the pattern.
Thomas More’s documented role is bounded by other offices and collaborators named in the sources below.
Conventional years are 1478–1535. Surviving public files are later parliamentary biographies, HRP pages, Yale Essential More, and encyclopedias. More did not typeset those later pages. Posthumous canonisation is reception, not a lifetime act.
Why it matters
Forced-displacement path as imprisonment. High confidence on Tower detention.

What the sources establish
Historic Royal Palaces and Britannica independently describe More’s Tower confinement after the 1534 oath refusal.
Established: oath refusal led to Tower imprisonment. Not established: that every shire saw identical exile waves.
Thomas More did not file a later UNESCO form, a later Loeb colophon, or a later museum label as a personal act. Carceral displacement is not the July trial twin alone. Keep May prison off 1 July as a pure duplicate.
