On 1 June 2026 Ethiopia held general elections. Tigray again did not take part. Fano and OLA rejected the poll.
Context
NEBE ran the poll. He was the incumbent. Pretoria’s political-integration lag is the weather. A second national vote without Tigray is a completed representation hole, not a 2021 copy to be merged.
The 2021 election is an earlier exclusion. Pretoria is 2022.
The prime minister of Ethiopia is chief executive under the 1995 constitution as amended, chairs the Council of Ministers, and commands the ENDF in practice. He does not write AU Assembly resolutions, OHCHR investigation reports, IMF board decisions, or Somali federal statutes.
Why it matters
The path is democratic resilience: repeating a national election that omits Tigray is a completed representation failure four years after Pretoria promised political reintegration.

What the sources establish
NEBE later confirmed a Prosperity Party landslide (on the order of 438 of the contested seats).
National Election Board of Ethiopia carries the official instrument or communique. BBC records the same dated act independently.
Established: a June 2026 general election won by Prosperity Party without Tigray voting, independently reported.
Not established: that the October swearing-in was already completed on 1 June, or a unique later war coefficient from election day.
NEBE ran the poll. Tigray’s exclusion sat under unfinished Pretoria politics he owns as federal principal.. A later repeal, court stay, or successor order would be a different Fact with a different date. That pair identifies Prosperity Party wins the 2026 election; Tigray again does not vote, not a later speech about Prosperity Party wins the 2026 election; Tigray again does not vote.
Co-authors and later implementers named in Context remain on the file. If a later repeal, stay, or successor decree exists, it needs its own date and its own row. The contribution described on this Person row is limited to He was the incumbent whose party won. NEBE ran the poll. That limit is the alternative to treating office-holding as authorship of every later series.
