On 26 October 2025, at the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Timor-Leste became ASEAN’s newest member. AP photographed Prabowo greeting José Ramos-Horta at the opening. It is not a finding that he uniquely authored Timor-Leste’s membership, and it is not a rebate of Kopassus-era occupation allegations stored on the 1999 row.
