On 16 May 2018 Istana Negara announced that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V, on Pardons Board advice under Article 42, had granted Anwar a full pardon and immediate release. He left hospital-custody for the palace. It restored eligibility. It is not stored here as a finding of innocence unless the palace text says so.

Context

Pakatan had won GE14 the previous week. Mahathir was prime minister again. The 2015 Federal Court term sat as parent. He did not sit as the King.

Federal Court 10 February 2015 is the parent sentence. GE15 2022 is a later child contest.
