On 11 March 2013 the National Assembly adopted the Fourth Amendment to the Fundamental Law, later promulgated that month. The amendment curtailed Constitutional Court review of cardinal laws, wrote political campaign and family clauses into the constitution, and answered earlier court findings by constitutionalising them. The Venice Commission issued a dedicated critical opinion. This Fact is that amendment sitting. It is not the 2011 adoption of the Fundamental Law, not a later recovery-fund deal, and not a campaign speech. The Assembly bill is the official file; the Venice Commission opinion is the independent file.
